Chan Foucher LeFebvre LLP ("CFL") has purchased the Quesnel firm Rigsby Lea Barr & Co. ("RLB").

Chan Foucher LeFebvre LLP was established in 1995 and is a regional accounting firm based in Prince George with offices in Quesnel and Vanderhoof. We are committed to providing our clients with prompt, innovative and high quality professional services.

Many of you know already, but for those who have drifted away from Quesnel, the practice has been sold to Chan Foucher LeFebvre LLP, Chartered Accountants of Prince George. Leon and I are retiring, having reached the wrong side of 60, and Darrel is staying on as an employed associate of the new firm. The staff are staying so there will be many familiar faces.

Those of us that have been with the firm for some part of its 52 year existence have enjoyed the prosperity of an expanding community, as have our clients. Our timing, although not of our making, has been fortunate.

We have always been blessed with exceptional people to help us perform in an efficient and professional way. Our staff have consistently assisted us in maintaining a high standard. The present staff are as good as any we have had. We are proud of them and eternally grateful.

The clients have been entrepreneurs extraordinaire. Their boldness and astuteness has kept life in the firm exciting and challenging. They have been a generous and appreciative group. Many of our clients started when we started, matured as we matured, and are retiring as we are retiring. It has been a pleasant journey together.

The firm has provided us with a wonderful career. Careers are made by people. In our case, we have been blessed with the best of people to work with and for. Thank you so much.

A special thank you from me goes to George Rigsby, the founder of the firm. George led me to the profession, was my principal to allow me to become a Chartered Accountant and mentored me in the profession and so many other ways. God bless you, George.

In November 2007, the new CFL Quesnel office was made up of the former RLB staff with the addition of the Quesnel CFL staff of Leona Lebrun, Joanne Simms and Margot Gagne.
